Lee Daniels has written, directed, and produced many movies and television shows. He directed the film Precious which received six Academy Award nominations and won two. He is also involved in the hit TV series Empire and Star. He worked as a receptionist for a nursing agency when he first moved to Hollywood.

Displaying great skill in investment planning, he started his own nursing agency, sold the company, and worked as a casting director. He has since achieved great success in the industry. He is in a relationship with Jahil Fisher. This power couple has been together for nine years! They currently live in Manhattan.
