Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger rose to prominence as a bodybuilder before becoming a major Hollywood celebrity and, later, governor of California. Throughout his childhood, he participated in a variety of sports, including baseball and soccer. Arnold, however, devoted himself to weightlifting. His soccer coach introduced him to the sport, and when he was fourteen, he began serious about bodybuilding. Schwarzenegger began his competitive bodybuilding career when he was seventeen years old.

Unfortunately, this went against both of his parents’ wishes. His father wanted him to be a cop, and his mother wanted him to attend trade school. Despite this, Schwarzenegger was in love with the sport and believed he could succeed at it. He later got his Hollywood break as Hercules in the film Hercules. Although Schwarzenegger may not have grown to become a weightlifter, he excelled to something of a greater degree.
